How to Wear an All Denim Outfit

All Denim Outfit

Spring is forecasted to be the season of denim. Denim is a great fabric for many reasons: it’s a transitional fabric from cooler months to warmer ones, it can be worn with almost anything, and can be made into almost any piece of clothing. This month, I did a collaboration with Boohoo, an exceptional online retailer for women’s fashion, where they challenged me to wear as many pieces of denim as possible in one outfit, up to five. I love denim so much that I was definitely up for this challenge! Here’s how I created my own all denim outfit.

Boohoo has many great pieces of denim, from skirts to dresses to accessories. When I saw this embroidered denim chambray shirt, I knew I had to have it. Mixing the two of the top trends in one shirt, yes please! I paired the top with some fabulous high-waisted jeans, the only kind I wear these days, a backpack, and black collared denim jacket. With more than one piece of denim in the outfit, it’s important to mix the shades of denim to give the outfit some dimension.

Some other ways to pair more than one piece of denim in the outfit are:

1. A choker + denim playsuit– I mentioned these two pieces before, but a chic off-the-shoulder playsuit would pair well with a thick choker like this denim one.

2. Denim skirt + chambray top– I love the idea of something simple like this black denim skirt with a chambray top. The mix of colors works well and the full denim look is super trendy!

3. Backpack + chambray top + ripped jeans– This combo is what I went for. I even threw on a different color denim jacket like I mentioned before to add some versatility. I don’t usually pair a denim top with a denim jacket, but this denim shirt was light enough that I needed a jacket!

How would you all put together a denim outfit?
