A while back, I shot with one of my fav photographers EVER, Jordan Zobrist, and I never got to posting this outfit on my blog! I already did post on my Instagram, though, because priorities. But the photos are really too beautiful not to share.
Spring in LA has been a little underwhelming so far. We’ve had bursts of sunshine for a few days, but most mornings have been foggy and days chilly. I hope this ends soon! I’m ready for that 75 degrees and sunny quintessential LA weather. For this particular day shooting with Jordan, it was actually still winter, but it was almost 80 degrees downtown. That’s one thing I won’t miss about living close to DTLA. I chose to wear a fuzzy sweater I purchased from Banana Republic (similar here) and a suede skirt from Missguided (similar here) I got on Black Friday last year. This combo was perfect for LA winter, where you can actually sport bare legs. To finalize the look, I wore these lace-up peep-toe heels from Zooshoo. This look is just as relevant now as it was in winter, because spring is all about shedding some of those layers while still staying warm!
On another note, I love shooting in new locations such as the top of this parking garage we found in DTLA. While I do mostly do natural backgrounds and white walls to fit my “bohemian” theme, I definitely have this inner grunge/rock n’ roll/edge that I need to satisfy, so I like to change up the backgrounds and shooting locations sometimes. It shows diversity in your style and keeps things interesting!
What are some of your favorite items for spring? Where do you all like to take pictures? I would love to hear back from my audience and get to know a few of my readers.
Also, stay tuned for some good things to come! I am headed to Coachella this year for the first time ever, so that will be fun/interesting. I am actually going for my work (ONEHOPE Wine) and blog. So stay tuned! I also have some fantastic local collabs in the works.
