Spring Style with Zenni Optical

Mulholland Frame Zenni Optical DSunglasses

Spring is about 4 days away, but the weather in LA has got us feeling like it’s already here! I’m gearing up for long days filled with sunshine, flea markets, and beach time with a wardrobe and accessories to match. One of the most essential accessories for spring are sunglasses to protect your eyes from harsh sunlight. I’ve been looking for some really retro, big-framed statement sunglasses, and I found some great options at Zenni Optical. They have an amazing LA Collection of sunglasses complete with retro, old hollywood glam frames that I am drooling over. As you all well know by now, I love pairing different genres of style (50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 90’s) together to create a really modern look. I created three looks with Zenni’s LA Collection, below!

For the first look, I recently hit up Zara with my mom while she was in town this past week and got some really great finds. One of which was this embroidered-sleeve wrap blouse, which paired nicely with my navy Karen Klein pencil skirt. I chose to dress this look up a bit, but this top could easily be paired with ripped jeans to make it more casual. To top the look off, I chose the Mulholland sunglasses in tortoiseshell with quirky shape frames. I wish I got to shoot this driving down Mulholland in a convertible!!

Secondly, I chose the Venice sunglasses in yellow and paired them with a patterned turban (also from Zara). I posted the full look here, but to recap, the overall look was very boho-chic with a modern vibe. I love how almost art-deco these sunglasses are- like something my Grandma would have liked back in her modeling days in the 50’s and 60’s.

For the final look, I went with these quintessential Ray-ban style round frames, but instead of pairing them with an edgy look like I would normally wear, I went with a spring look with a long patterned skirt from Amour Vert and a sheer white top from Karen Klein. Not sure what you would label this overall look, but I think that’s the glory of it.

Spring is definitely right around the corner, so everyone should be prepared for it with some great new sunglasses. I would definitely consider statement frames, such as the ones from Zenni Optical, as those are super in this season and really fun!

Happy almost weekend!
