Spring is a time of renewal. It is a time when you can reflect on your resolutions and goals from the beginning of the year and bring them back to life with a new sense of purpose. One of my goals in 2017 was to be more mindful in everyday life. I sometimes rush through my days since they are so jam-packed, but a huge part of this goal is to slow down and make the most of life and moments that matter, which can lead to greater happiness. One of the things I always seem to rush through is my makeup routine, using the same products every day to achieve the same exact look. How boring is that?! I never take the time to change up my routine and test new products. But with the start of spring, this seems like the ideal time to take a step closer to achieving this goal.
On this particular spring day, I chose to create a “day time smokey eye” look, complete with dewy, highlighted skin and soft spring colors. I used all essence cosmetics products to create this look, specifically the Rock ‘n Doll Mascara, Smokey Eye Set, Matt Matt Matt Lipstick, Pure Nude Highlighter, and the Shape Your Face Contouring Palette. All of these products combined create a natural look, perfect for everyday.
What I love about essence cosmetics is the quality cosmetics at amazing prices. On top of this, essence built an inclusive community of young women with beauty, ambition and courage. This community of real girls is built around a love for essence products as well a lifestyle of making the most of life and choosing happiness. These ideals hold close to my heart and are a foundation of my blog, as I spoke about in this post. Choosing happiness and being mindful of others as well as YOURSELF is something I encourage everyone to work towards. This is why I partnered with essence to spread the word of their #WatchMeSparkle campaign. They are giving away a trip for a two day workshop in NYC to 8 lucky winners who follow contest rules!
Happy first day of spring! I encourage you all to renew some of your goals and slow down a little this spring! A little mindfulness can go a long way in the journey of happiness 🙂
