Pleats for the Holidays

One of the classiest trends I have been seeing this season is pleats in all shapes and forms. I personally love pleated pants because they are different than the normal pleated skirt, but pleated skirts are also a great option for the holidays. There is something so classic about showing up to a holiday gathering or church in long, pleated skirts or pants. It brings me back to the 50’s and makes me want to dance to Frank Sinatra on vinyl while wearing Mary Jane Heels. For a day of holiday shopping in Manhattan Beach, I wore these pink pleated pants paired with a Grease-eque black off the shoulder top. To make the look a bit more modern, I added these new pink glasses I got from Raen and some pointed-toe heels.

If you want to get a little more festive for the holidays, I’ve put together some different options below.

1. Gold Pleated Skirt: This is the go-to of the pleated skirt trend, but I love the shimmer of this skirt from GAP! You could pair with red for a glamorous holiday look.

2. Pink Pleated Pants: I opted for this untraditional version of the pleated trend. Since the pants I wore were a little see-through (yikes!), I would go for something like this from Nasty Gal. These are also festive, and just as shimmery!

3. Floor Length: This skirt from ASOS is a little longer than the other options, which gives it a bit more of a dramatic effect. I also love the Champagne color of this skirt. So chic.

4. Flare: Express put a new spin on the pleated with a short flare version in a variety of colors. This would be a great option with a chunky sweater and some cute flats.

I’m home for the holidays right now in Colorado. I can’t wait to spend a few days by the fire with my family and kitty (Daisy at home, not my kitty in California, Penny).

Happy Holidays lovelies,
