A detail that I am loving this spring is FRINGE! Whether that be on frayed jeans, sweaters, or shoes, I am loving it all. It’s a trend that I can see carrying on right into the summer (btw… who’s excited for summer?!). One of my most favorite fringe tops has to be from Margaret O’Leary. I have a lot of pieces from this brand, but just in case you didn’t catch the details on my last posts, Margaret O’Leary is a San Francisco based brand that has stores all around the world. The brand has a California-chic aesthetic, with just a hint of Margaret’s native Ireland. I love the bohemian-chic and classic pieces that this brand has.
For a day of exploring around one of my favorite neighborhoods in LA, Silverlake, I wore this Margaret O’Leary fringe top paired with these Boohoo jeans that I have literally not taken off since I got them. When I got this top, I was afraid that it might look too much like those blanket sweatshirts that stoners used to wear in Boulder (not that I am opposed to that sort of item, but google “stoner sweatshirt”)… But it is quite the opposite. The fringe top is very chic and the subtle stripe pattern on the soft fabric makes the shirt feel delicate. To top the look off, I paired the fringe top with a backpack for strolling around the neighborhood and my absolute favorite mules ever from Chinese Laundry.
I expect fringe to be a major trend in the coming seasons and there are a lot of options to try this trend no matter what your style is!
P.S. This is the first post done with the Fuji X-t2 and a 35mm 1.2/F lens! What do y’all think?!
