Coachella 2017 Recap

This was my first year at Coachella and I can tell you that it won’t be my last. Last weekend was filled with everything I love: live music, photography, friends, and the occasional drink (wink-y face). It was jam packed and I was super nervous about planning and how everything would turn out, but everything went as smooth as it could’ve gone. I planned out my outfits beforehand, and I’m glad that I packed wayyy more than I needed to. For three days of parties and festival-going, it’s definitely good to have options if you need a quick outfit change. Here’s a little snapshot of what I did each day:

Friday: Got to Palm Springs around mid day and checked into my hotel. I stayed at a cute little garden hotel called A Place in the Sun. It was perfect for what I needed and even had two extra beds, but in reality it was a bit far from the festival (I didn’t decide I was going to Coachella until last minute, so I’m just glad I found something)! I then met up with Jordan Zobrist, my fav photographer and friend, to shoot some looks before heading to the festival. I headed straight to the festival after the shoot and got to see some amazing bands that day. To be honest, a lot of people go to Coachella for the parties and don’t even go to the festival, but I’m a HUGE music fan (like, literally music is the air I breathe… name that artist), so this was the part I was most excited about. My favorite act that day was definitely Phantogram, I have a major girl crush on her and have been listening to her music since the festival. Father John Misty was also fantastic that night.

Saturday: The company I work for, ONEHOPE Wine, sponsored the Bumble Winter Bumbleland Party at a private residence in Rancho Mirage on Saturday and Sunday, so I worked on social media there all day which was pretty cool. I saw Kendall and Kylie Jenner and some other celebrities! The coolest part of the party was the snow tubing and igloo and the fact that everything was decked out in fake snow, even the palm trees. After this party, I headed straight to the festival (I’m a junkie, can you tell?!). I got there just in time for Bon Iver (my LOVE) and Lady Gaga. Both of these acts were incredible. Lady Gaga killed it.

Sunday: By Sunday, I was feeling exhausted, but ready to give it one last go. I headed to the Bumble Party again and worked all day, then went to the Lucky Brand Desert Jam also in the Palm Springs area. I got a really cute monogrammed bandana at the event and my hair glittered/braided from Splash That. Then, it was back to the festival! I was super bummed I missed one of my favorite bands, HONNE, that day, but I know there will be another time I will see them since they are touring. My favorite acts of that night were Lorde and Kendrick. I’m not that into rap music, but Kendrick puts on a fantastic show. He literally just has to stand there and the crowd goes insane. Future and Travis Scott also made appearances during his show, so it was extra exciting!

I hope you liked all my looks from the event! There are some more snaps on my Instagram, so be sure to check those out too.

I’m having Coachella withdrawls currently, does anyone have a remedy for that? Seriously though…

Love,
Lauren
